I think I would have gotten more out of this class if I were actually in the process of building a real start-up. The course is structured around a business model canvas and walks you through the different things you have to consider when forming your business plan. It really expects you to follow along, filling in your canvas with ideas that match your start-up idea (which I didn't have). Regardless, I still learned a lot about general start-up business concepts. Interesting class if you just want to learn about what goes into building a start-up, definitely recommended if you have an actual start-up in the works. |

This course served as a great introduction to both Customer Development and Alexander Osterwalder's Business Model Canvas. I took the course just as I entered the earliest stages of a startup I had been thinking about for some time, and I found that the course really helped to make me consider important questions early on that I otherwise may have put aside or not even thought about until much later. I listed the course difficulty as moderate, because that's an estimation of how I treated it, but its really as hard as you want to make it. If you're really serious about doing everything Steve recommends to the fullest, then this course will be just as hard as starting a real company - which is to say, really hard. The content is very engaging if you're the entrepreneurial type, well-presented, and moves at a nice pace. Overall, highly recommended if you're thinking about or just getting started on a new venture! |

The class was very helpful in helping me refine my understanding of entrepreneurship. I particularly liked the introduction of the concept of the Lean launchpad as well as the business model generator. Also the graphics were very interesting and made watching the videos doable. Although, I would recommend more quizzes at short intervals to ensure that the students are able to participate better. I will miss having that first watch. I know I will take this class again when I am ready to launch a business. |
