Fascinating overviews across the broad spectrum of world history, with significant attention to non-western history. The professor is a very good amiable TV/video personality. |

The subject matter is fascinating and Prof Adelman provides a refreshing outlook on the material. The peer assessment isn't working in the humanities subjects. |

I'm enjoying the lectures and global dialogues. The essay grading rubric is just a little harsh. A professor's forum gives a little bit of interactivity on the discussion boards, but overall most of the discussion interaction is between students. |

I am also taking this course at the moment. We are about 2/3 the way through as I write this. |

I'm rating this as 4/5, but I'm not doing the full experience. I'm sort of "auditing" the course - downloading the videos and watching them when I get a spare minute. I'm not doing the essays or participating in the discussion forum, but they are quite active. The production quality on these videos is quite high - the professor is on a sound stage with assistants on standby. I have almost no world history education, but the material is presented in an easy to digest way. He obviously knows what he's talking about - it would be interesting to take an in-person class with him. |

Great course on the history of the word from 1300 to the present. Professor Adelman historical methodology focuses on telling an integrated story, wherever possible. He is an engaging lecturer and the assignments consisting of detailed essays on relevant historical questions were instructive. This was an insightful and valuable history course. |

That was a fascinated course, very well organized an produced. Professor Jeremy Adelman was very participative in the forums, wich make a great difference. He brought me a new perspective in a topic wich I had very little knowledge. Higlhy recommended and worthwhile. |

Prerequisites: HS world history Essays: *Since there's no certificate awarded*, the essays are apparently "optional but recommended". Not too bad; max word count is ~750. Overall: Good course, quite engaging. |
